Hastelloy X Pipe & Hastelloy X Tube exhibits good ductility after prolonged exposure at temperatures of 1200, 1400, 1600°F (650, 760 and 870°C) for 16,000 hours. Hastelloy X Seamless Pipe & Hastelloy X Seamless Tubing both are a versatile alloy with good resistance in a wide range of both oxidising and reducing acids even with chloride contamination. Also chlorine contaminated hydrocarbons. Alloy X Seamless Tubing, Alloy X Gas Tubing, Hastelloy X boiler tubes, Hastelloy X Welded Pipe & SCH40 Hastelloy X Pipe are suitable for jet engine tailpipes, afterburner components, cabin heaters, and other aircraft parts. Hastelloy X Polished Pipe is designated as UNS N06002 and Werkstoff Number 2.4665.
Hastelloy X Tubing as per AMS 5587 is just a example of cold-drawn tubing commonly manufactured by Steel Tubes India and Manufacturing Incorporated. Each Hastelloy X tube & Alloy X Seamless Tubing is handled and inspected many times during the drawing process. During the heat treating process of Hastelloy X tubes are handled with white gloves. Hastelloy X Welded Pipe can be forged and, because of its good ductility, can be cold-worked. Hastelloy X ERW Pipe can be welded by both manual and automatic welding methods including shielded metal-arc (coated electrodes), gas tungsten-arc (TIG), and gas metal-arc (MIG). The pharmaceutical factory is such an industry where the equipment used for its manufacture e.g. Hastelloy C276 Pipe is one that stands to see varying conditions and different chemical formulae.Therefore the UNS N10276 pipe used during the manufacture of drugs is well suited for exposure to either low temperature or high temperatures. Thus making the alloy a very relevant purchase in the Pharmaceutical production industries. The smooth surface of the ASTM B622 pipe is what ensures the easy transportation of raw materials from one sector to another without creating any problems.
ASTM B622 UNS N10276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum wrought alloy specification. This material is resistant to wet chloride gas, chlorine dioxide solutions and hypochlorite. Only a few alloys have these properties. The alloy is commonly known as the C276 and it is not affected by grain boundary precipitation. The material is also exceptionally resistant to oxidizing media, chlorides, acids and most reducing media.
These properties being expressed by one material is a perfect match for chemical processing applications because the material can withstand all the risk factors in a concentrated chemical processing. The bleach plants, sour gas applications, flue gas desulfurization plants, sulfuric acid reactors and organic chloride presses equipment all use the C276 or the ASTM B622 UNS N10276 alloy material.
